Hi and welcome to your home - The LEGION

The goal of this post is to inform new (and old) members how the finest supergroup on Liberty operates.

If you have comments, please create a new topic. This post will only be updated by leaders, so it will always have the most up to date information. If you see it has a reply to it, that means something has changed and it would be highlighted.

1. Communication

All in game communication is done via the global LEGION chat channel. When you log on or out, please say hello and goodbye so everyone knows your status. Be friendly, respond to your SG mates, even if its to say your team is full or you just feel like soloing. If you're running a team and have room or SK spots available, advertise it in the LEGION channel. Also remember that the chat text can go by very fast, especially in the midst of combat, so don't get offended if your initial inquiry gets no response.

Once invited to the LEGION channel, to view chat you will need to add the channel. The easiet way to do so is right click on either the top or bottom chat dialogue box and chose "edit tab." From this window you can add or remove chat types. Add the LEGION and click okay.

The easiest way to talk in this channel is to designate a key and bind this command to it:

/bind o "beginchat /send Legion"

other useful binds are;

/bind i "beginchat /send LegionFriends"

/bind u "beginchat /send Alliancechat"

You can copy and paste these commands into the game's chat box. Use Ctrl+v to paste when your cursor is in the typing field in game. The letter after the word 'bind' can be changed to whatever you want. Now just press the key for the channel you want to talk in and type.

2. Our rolling roster policy

So that everyone can benefit from our hero and villain bases we try to keep all active toons on the main rosters. This also allows us to gain prestige faster and get cool new base features. Each roster can have a maximum of 75 toons.

When you log on, check to see if the character you are playing is in either The LEGION for heroes or Fallen LEGION for villains. If you are not currently on the 75 man roster, in global LEGION chat request an SG/VG invite. Leaders, Captains and Core all have invite, kick and promote rights. What the officer will do is sort the supergroup roster by "last on" and kick the oldest inactive member. Try to keep a maximum of 2 toons in each main supergroup. If you already have 2 in one of the SG's, you should also specify which character should be removed before an invite is sent so no one person has too many alts in the SG.

If you log in an see that a character was kicked because they were at the bottom of the activity list, do not get offended, you are still LEGION. We invite people to our SG, not characters. Just ask for a re-invite.

3. Supergroup mode

Please play in Supergroup mode as much as possible. In SG mode, you still earn influence/infamy at the same rate as not being in SG mode until level 25 and at a good rate until your early 30's. In the upper levels, we would like that you remain in SG mode as much as possible. If money is an issue, try to switch back and forth between SG mode and not. Use your best judgement. Pre-level 25, influence/infamy is earned at the same rate regardless what mode you are in, so there's no excuse not to be in SG mode.  Also remember you can chose to turn off the SG emblem in the SG settings section.

4. Loyalty

One of the reasons why this SG is so great is because of the devotion and loyalty of our members. While we don't mind you having alts in other supergroups out there, we do expect that the LEGION comes first. While this means many things, one specific example is base raids. Do not participate in any live raids against us as a member of a different SG.

Give out our website! - www.thelegioncoh.com

5. Conduct

Remember that with The LEGION tag underneath your name, you represent us in the community and forums. Be respectful of others and help promote us.  The portlet to the left called "LEGION INFO" contains links describing conduct.

6. Bases

LEGION Base(s) Features:

All available zone teleporters.

Next to each resurrection ring is a tree or a auto doc that sells green and blue inspirations. You can also sell inspirations here. Heroes also have a break free dispensor.

Bases also contain inspiration and enhancement storage bins. There are two types of enhancement bins. Some that holds 50+ that are not to be sold since they are unbuyable. And some that hold anything less than 50, these can be sold for influence/infamy.

With both kind be honorable in what you take out. If you take items, be sure your depositing like items at the same rate sometime. Just be fair about it, especially with the 50+'s - logs track who does what.

Salvage and empowerment items have been added too, but those are discussed below.

5. Be Active!

Get involved and active! Talk in the Legion global channel.  This is your supgergroup! Help to continue to make it the best one on the Liberty!! Use this website as a source of information and communication for all SG matters.

6. Salvage

Salvage has 2 uses in City, one is to create and improve base items, the other is to make personal empowerment buffs. We ask that members split their salvage between the two.

In each base are salvage racks that are used to deposit salvage. Please only deposit to these, do not take salvage from the racks.

In each base is one Empowerment station. Villians have the Radiation Emulator where you can use Tech only salvage to create cool temporary buffs. Heroes have the Enchanting Crucible which will only accept Arcane type salvage to create buffs.

Using them is simple and one stop shopping. Go to the table in the base (always in a workshop room) and filter only the recipes you can make using the menu option in the lower right corner. Next you'll see tabs at the top that will allow you to combine salvage into components. After creating components, you will now have the raw materials to create empowerment buffs.

Beyond empowerment buffs, salvage the same type as the base theme is needed to create and improve base items. Villians are asked donate their arcane salvage to the Salvage Storage. Heroes donate tech related salvage to the bins. Simply drag and drop from your salvage menu to the bin menu. If your unsure what salvage is tech or arcane related, you can use the worktables in the workshop to create compenents. Then dump the appropriate components into the salvage storage bins.

This is of course, not mandatory, but donating the salvage to the bins will make the base better for everyone.

Because of how SG permissions work, everyone has full permissions to place & remove items from all storage bins (inspirations, enhancements & salvage). No one should take salvage out of the salvage bins, they are there for deposit only. There's a log that tracks who does what.

7. Personal Bases

With the recent change to how base rent works it has become easier for people with multiple accounts and multiple computers to set up a small base for personal storage.  Because this type of base rarely has all the amenities of our main base these individuals coalition with the main SG in order to allow their chars to use both bases.  While this is acceptable keep in mind that the main SG can only coalition with a total of ten (10) other SGs.  Therefore personal coalitions with either the hero or villain SG will be given out on a first come first served basis.  If you intend on taking advantage of this opportunity please post in the LEGION base section of the forum.  Once we reach our max no other coalitions will be made.  If in the future it becomes beneficial to the SG as a whole to make coalitions with real SGs rather then personal ones we'll remove personal coalitions on a volunteer basis first and then simply by time in SG.

This one is huge to me. Bottom line is, we want people who want to be LEGION. If you are playing toons in other SGs more, and putting The LEGION on the back burner, then step up and repectfully step out. We will leave the door open for you if you want to return, but we need everyone, everyday to continue and grow the proud tradition and name that this SG has achieved. There has been exactly 1 day total in the history of this game that I was not on a toon that didnt fly the LEGION flag, and that was the release day prior to D and I starting this bunch. I will fly that banner until I am the last person on the last server when and if they shut this game down. In my opinion, some of the best and most knowledgeable players on this server make thier home here. Get to know them, get thier knowledge here in the forums and in game. Be part of our family.

The honor system is a great point here. Remember, what is in the storage areas is for the betterment and growth of our SG, it is not to taken and used for personal or other SG reasons. (refer up to the loyalty part here coolsmiley )

This is HUGE!!!! I do, at the very least, expect everyone to aknowledge the SG when you sign on. It is like coming home from work, you have to at least say hi to everyone in the house. Simple common curtesy. We love having a very active chat channel!! It is one of the things that I like the most about this SG. Do your part and be involved!!! Be heard!!!

Remember, you all are LEGION. We are all stronger because of each other. We are a family, it is the one thing that has allowed us to flourish while so many other SGs have whittled away and shut down. It is up to all of us to maintain and grow our own legacy!!!!

Enough of my random thoughts for now!! idiot2
You are all my heroes!
